What Is Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy is a FDA approved medical treatment which enhances the body's natural healing process by inhalation of 100% oxygen in a chamber where the atmospheric pressure is increased and controlled. It has been employed for decades to treat a variety of conditions but is particularly useful in the fields of neurology and wound care. The treatment process is safe, painless and comfortable and has few side effects.

How It Works

While in the chamber, the patient is breathing 100% pure oxygen which delivers up to 15 times as much oxygen to the tissues in the body than by breathing regular room air at normal atmospheric pressure. Currently we have three comfortable monoplace chambers. While receiving treatments patients watch movies, listen to music, read or take a nap.

Healing our Heroes

The Healing Our Heroes program supports our veterans by assisting with payments for hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) treatments. Many of our veterans have sustained a Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), and Post Concussive Syndrome (PCS). Studies have been conducted using HBOT as an alternative therapy to medication. These studies have shown that patients receiving these treatments had a dramatic increase in cognitive abilities, improved recovery in motor skills and were able to decrease their anti-depressant medication intake.
